Three Successful End-of-Year Charitable Campaigns

During the month of December, we held three simultaneous campaigns around the office…all three were huge successes!

Mitten Tree 2014 - SmallFirst, we asked our employees to fill a Christmas tree in our front lobby with new hats, scarves, and mittens for children…we called it our “Mitten Tree.” On Monday, December 22nd, we dropped off an overflowing box to the main offices of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware. They were very grateful and told us we had perfect timing, since they had just received a large donation of winter coats. They are planning to distribute everything that was donated to various Clubs in our area where the need is the greatest.

Clothing DriveSecond, we held our annual end-of-the-year clothing drive. We collected 257 lbs (or 20 bags) of gently used clothing. After leaving the Boys & Girls Clubs, we headed to The Clothing Bank of Delaware on Jessup Street in Wilmington and, with the help of their staff, unloaded all 20 bags. They were happy we stopped by that day, and as we left, we all wished each other a Merry Christmas!

Finally, our United Way of Delaware campaign wrapped up on December 31st, and we are very proud to say that we exceeded our goal by 112%!  John D’Agostino, who is on the Board of Directors, was overjoyed with the outcome!

As always, our employees come through and exhibit their generosity. Like we always say, we have the best employees around!!
